Evan spent his childhood between Seattle WA. and Los Angeles CA. with a family that was full of theater people, actors and teachers. He grew up skateboarding which was a creative way to see architecture and public spaces. He later studied Photography, Film and Painting at the San Francisco Art Institute where he received a BFA and then went on to a MFA at California College of Arts and Crafts. where he attend on scholarship and received a graduate show award. He went on to work for Gallerist Jack Shaiman in NYC who taught him the business side of the art world. Moving to Los Angeles Evan started to work at Art Museums and for Artist friends one of whom led him to the set and production design. With his skills and attention to details in art and films this became a great challenge. He loves the focus from the initial concept and build to the specifics of set dressing and lighting. Dealing with locations and logistics came naturally. He Works closely with photographer and client from concept to conception. Not sacrificing quality for quantity. He thinks in terms of the whole image and the final product. He is consistently driven to bring the concept to life while bringing the strongest image possible.
